How does the mattress stay on a Murphy bed?
Most Murphy beds come equipped with elastic, adjustable straps that secure the mattress to the frame, ensuring it stays in place and doesn’t fall off when the bed is closed. These straps fit around the corners or edges of the mattress, preventing any contact with the wall or floor. This design keeps your mattress secure and in perfect condition, regardless of its size.
Mattress Dimensions – Know What and How to Measure
Measure – the cornerstone for your wall bed dimensions and mattress selection. Precise measurements, including height, width, depth (when closed), and projection from the wall (when open), ensure your Murphy wall bed and optional side cabinets will fit perfectly in your space. Ideally, leave some room on either side of the bed to move around comfortably. Additionally, side cabinets can provide valuable storage space. When measuring for your new Murphy wall bed, whether you supply the mattress or order one with us, keep these guidelines in mind.
